Based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and designed by professionals, our constantly evolving platform currently holds over a thousand hours of high-quality sounds and music FX that were tailor-made to meet the needs of sound experts.

WHO IS THE CHICK BEHIND SOUNDCHICK ?

My name is Mélanie. As both a sound editor and a sound field recordist for over 20 years, I am familiar with the difficulties of recording good sound effects in the field well, and later on crafting them all in a way to help convey the emotions and the message for a film. Through the years while I toured part of the world and worked with seasoned industry professionals on more than a hundred documentary films, I kept piling up ambiences, sounds and music FX from the Americas, Africa, Asia, Australia and even the Arctic!

Having thousands of hours of sound material sitting on hard drives did not make sense to me so I decided to create a tool that could be of precious help to others and give the sounds a never-ending life through other people’s creations. I sincerely hope this platform will help you enhance your work with materials that achieve the highest standards of recording, mastering and encoding …

I hope you find what you were looking for. Please come back often, more, as more sounds will be added gradually to the library. This is just a start!
