My name is Mélanie. As both a sound field recordist and sound editor for over 20 years, I am familiar with the difficulties of taping good sounds in the field well, and later on crafting them all in a way to help convey the emotions and the message for a film. Over the years while I toured part of the world and worked with seasoned industry professionals on more than a hundred documentary films, I kept piling up ambiences, sounds and music FX from the Americas, Asia, Australia, Africa and even the Artic!
Having thousands of hours of material sitting on hard drives did not make sense to me so I decided to create a tool that could be of precious help to others and give the sounds an never-ending life through other’s people’s creations.
