Africa Uganda is a collection of very varied ambiences sounds with its very colorful human activities. Nature is also present with the recordings in the jungle and the unique African savannas.
Far from tourist areas, it presents Ugandan life in towns & villages, the walla in schools, markets, hospitals, police stations, without missing the presence of birdsong and even monkeys.
First recorded in 2001 in Kampala and Masindi Forest. Then in 2006 further north of the country in the IDP camps near the villages of Lira and Gulu.
Unexplored and rare places, presenting a colorful range of the beauty of this country despite the internal war that has raged for more than 30 years.

This sound recording technique holds no secrets for Lucie Hardoin, French specialist of 3D SOUND. To reproduce this phenomenon, Hardoin has a capture system that she inserts directly into her ears. She also uses a Neumann KU100 artificial head, which is now the global standard.

Most of the recordings have been made in an outdoor setting allowing to belittle reverberations.
Almost all of the sounds were recorded using a M/S technique with AKG C-414 and Rode Nt5, and a Sound Devices mixPre.
